THE TUNEGIRL

The Tunegirl's musical journey started in the 1970s with a passion for hard rock. Inspired by bands like Status Quo and AC/DC, she became the guitarist in her school band, learning everything by ear.

In the 1980s she discovered funk, soul and disco while working as a DJ, and soon after became fascinated by synthesizers and synth-pop.

Eventually, she found her true passion in techno and house, inspired by artists such as Jeff Mills and Richie Hawtin.

Her first electronic setup was based around an Atari, Cubase and classic Roland gear. After stopping in 1999 for family reasons, she returned in 2009 with software, but missed the hands-on experience.

That changed when The Tunegirl discovered Eurorack.

Although the learning curve was steep, modular synthesis finally gave her the creative freedom she had always been looking for. Today, Eurorack is her instrument of choice and the perfect way to express her love for electronic music.
